From Lake Louise or Banff:

• Please allow at least 1 hour from Lake Louise and at least 25 minutes driving from Banff to the boat launch site in Canmore
• Exit either Lake Louise or Banff and travel East on Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway)
• Take exit 89, towards Canmore / Town centre
• Begin to follow signs for Downtown Canmore
• This will bring you onto Benchlands Trail which turns into Railway Avenue (which will take you over the rail line).
• Once over the rail line, turn left at the lights onto Main Street (8th Street).
• Continue to the end of Main Street (8th Street).
• At the end of Main Street you will be at a four way intersection. You will see The Wood restaurant, Reboynd Cycle, Rexall Drugs and Alpenrose Market.
• At the end of Main Street, turn left onto 8th Avenue and do not turn off this road.
• Follow this road for approximately 400 meters. It will turn into Bridge Road. This road will take you over a bridge, over the Bow River. Once over the bridge take your first exit on your left, into the Canmore boat launch site. Public parking can be found in this parking lot or on the roadside.
• Our guiding team will meet you at the rivers edge.

From Calgary:

• Please allow at least 1 hour driving from the West edge of Calgary city to the boat launch site in Canmore.
• If it is a weekend or warm summer day, give yourself at least another 40-mins for traffic!
• Head West on Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway)
• Take exit 93 (just pasted Deadman’s Flats) and at the Stop Sign, turn Left onto Hwy 742.
• Continue to the Roundabout, stay Right onto 3 Sisters Parkway.
• At the next Stop Sign (4-way stop), turn Right onto 3 Sisters Drive.
• Follow this down the hill and at the next Stop Sign (3-way stop) turn Right onto Rundle Drive,
• Drive slow, and when you see the sign for Public Boat Launch, turn Right into the parking lot.
• You have arrived! Look for the White Bus & Yellow Rafts.
• Our guiding team will meet you at the rivers edge.

From Downtown Canmore:

• Please allow 10 minutes walking time from Canmore Main Street to the boat launch site.
• Head South on Main Street (8th Street).
• At the end of Main Street you will be at a four way intersection. You will see The Wood restaurant, Reboynd Cycle, Rexall Drugs and Alpenrose Market.
• At the end of Main Street, turn left onto 8th Avenue and do not turn off this road.
