Exceeding your expectations

We invite you to be our guest on any one of our 5 daily scenic float tours along the Bow River. Our Canmore float tour last up to an hour on the river and typically takes up to 2 hours of your day in total. We love sharing our passion for the river with you and so we never cancel our tours based on minimum numbers. If you have a large group, small group, or it’s just you, we can’t wait to float down the river with you.
When you book, let us know if you would like us to pick you up from your Canmore hotel. It’s complimentary! Alternatively if you are already out sightseeing for the day, you can meet us at the river’s edge. Both our online reservation system and our Adventure Specialists in our office will provide you with detailed directions to the boat launch site. The beautiful walk from downtown Canmore is approximately 5-10 minutes.

What to expect
Once at the rivers edge you will meet your guide and our friendly support staff.
Our friendly support staff will assist you in fitting your lifejacket and completing our activity waiver. We have comfortable lifejackets for children, adults and the elderly, that are adjustable to every size and body type. The minimum weight requirement for children is 30 lbs (13.7 kgs) and above.
Everyone will then gather around our rafts as our guides give a short safety brief. Our relaxing Canmore float tour involves no rapids, no paddling, no swimming and no worries! Our amazing river guides then help you comfortably into the rafts and you’re off on your inspiring Canmore river adventure!

What to bring
We provide everything that you need to be truly inspired here in Canmore. Lifejackets in all sizes, rain jackets should the weather change while we are on the river, complimentary vehicle shuttle to return you back to town once the tour is over and a guide that will amaze you with their knowledge of the area.
We ask that you dress appropriately for the weather of the day. Up here in the mountains that sun can really catch you out if you’re not prepared so don’t forget the sunscreen. You should not expect to get your feet wet on our relaxing float tours. That said we always advise not wearing your very best shoes since you may get a splash or two while getting in and out of the boat.

Your adventure
As you float peacefully along the stunning Bow River in Canmore, your guide will share stories of the mountains, local history and wildlife with you. Keep your eyes peeled as you look for elk, coyotes, osprey, bald eagles and maybe even a bear!
You are more than welcome to bring your phone or camera to snap photos of your unforgettable experience on the river with us. Our guides carry cameras on board all trips to snap photos of any wildlife that we may see, if you are hesitant to bring your own.
Young ones are often keen to try rowing the oars and our friendly guides are happy to show them the ropes! Our tours are the perfect family adventure for us to entertain you, so that everyone can kick back, relax and soak in the stunning beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
