When you book, let us know if you’d like complimentary pickup from your Canmore hotel. If you’re already out exploring, you can also meet us directly at the river launch. Our online reservation system and friendly Adventure Specialists can provide detailed directions to the boat launch. From downtown Canmore, it’s a scenic 5–10 minute walkto the river.

What to expect

Your Adventure Begins at the River’s Edge

When you arrive at the Bow River launch, you’ll be greeted by your expert guide and our friendly support team.

Our staff will help you fit your lifejacket and complete a brief activity waiver. We provide comfortable, adjustable lifejackets for all ages—from children to adults and seniors. Children must weigh 30 lbs (13.7 kg) or more.

Once everyone is ready, our guides will provide a short safety briefing. Then it’s time to relax—our Canmore float tourinvolves no rapids, no paddling, and no swimming, so all you need to do is sit back, soak in the scenery, and enjoy the river.

Our experienced guides will help you safely board the rafts, and before you know it, you’re off on a peaceful and inspiring Bow River adventure through the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

Everything You Need for an Inspired Canmore Float Adventure

We provide all the gear and support you need for a safe, relaxing, and unforgettable Bow River float tour. This includes:

  • Lifejackets in all sizes for children, adults, and seniors
  • Rain jackets in case the weather changes
  • Complimentary vehicle shuttle back to town after your tour
  • A knowledgeable guide who will share fascinating insights about the area, wildlife, and local history

To make the most of your adventure, we recommend dressing for the day’s weather. The mountain sun can be strong, so don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. While our tours are relaxing with no paddling or swimming, it’s best not to wear your very best shoes—your feet may get a splash or two while entering or exiting the raft.
